Here you can find basic information about the inscription of elements of intangible cultural heritage in the Register of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Slovenia.
The Register of Intangible Cultural Heritage is a technical list of intangible cultural heritage from the area of the Republic of Slovenia. The Register includes elements connected with intangible cultural heritage and the bearers of that heritage. Elements that are pan-Slovene or characteristic of a specific region may have a number of bearers, while local elements may have only one. The Register of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Slovenia is available at the webpage of the Ministry of Culture.
Proposals for inclusion in the Register are drawn up by the Coordinator for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, while the Register is maintained by the Ministry of Culture. Since 2011 the role of the national Coordinator for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage is carried out by the Slovene Ethnographic Museum.
